BAKERY ASSISTANT
The Missing Grain – 100% Gluten-Free Bakery & Café
Linthicum Heights, Maryland
Morning shift: 4:00 AM–12:00 PM
Afternoon shift: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
Full-time and part-time positions available
Weekend availability required
The Missing Grain is looking for dependable and hardworking Bakery Assistants to join our growing bakery team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, can follow detailed instructions, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality baked goods.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily bakery production
· Scale and measure ingredients accurately
· Mix, shape, portion, pan, and prepare bakery products
· Assist bakers with breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and other products
· Package and label finished products
· Stock and organize ingredients and supplies
· Maintain clean and organized production areas
· Wash equipment, utensils, pans, and work surfaces as needed
· Follow recipes and established production procedures
· Follow all food-safety, sanitation, allergen-awareness, and gluten-free procedures
· Assist wherever needed during high-volume production periods
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDependable and punctual
· Comfortable working an early-morning or afternoon bakery production shift
· Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Able to follow recipes and written instructions
· Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift approximately 40 pounds
· Previous bakery or food-service experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate
· Weekend availability is required
The Missing Grain is a 100% gluten-free facility.
Employees may not bring gluten-containing food, snacks, meals, beverages, or ingredients into the bakery or café, including food brought for employee breaks.
All personal food brought into the facility must be gluten-free.
Employees must follow all company gluten-free, cross-contact prevention, sanitation, allergen-awareness, and food-safety procedures.
